It is cold out!

February is so cold here in Cambridge. I have been living in the North East for more than a decade and still I don’t get accustomed to this cold. Lately, the boys have been playing with their costumes very often. I think they look very cute and it keeps them warm and playful. I really enjoy seeing them play imaginary games. I have for a while been very drawn to vintage objects particularly for kids, I keep them around their room hoping they will incorporate them into their games. It is cute to see them use old fashion telefones like I used back in the days, to think they are thing of the past now is mind blowing to me.

Goodbye to Grandma

This year started on a sad note for us. Our beloved Grandma Elisabeth passed away in December. We will miss her tremendously, and will do our best to keep her alive in our memories. I don’t know why, but when someone dear passes away you realize the real impact they have had in your life. Death can be such a harsh eye and heart opener, you see what you could not see before (or at the very least you see better), you feel more. What I see now is beautiful, is unconditional love, what I feel is tenderness and warmth. What remains in the hearts of people close to you after a long and well lived life is love. I am feeling blessed and grateful. Here are some portraits I took of Grandma back in 2011 as well as some pictures from her memorial which took place in her apartment in New York City

Trip to Baja 2 part two

I has been crazy since we have been back from our trip, between unpacking, doing laundry, making meals, kissing cheeks, and cleaning up I have had little time to finish selecting more images from our trip. The weather has been chilly here in Cambridge, so we are spending lots of time at home settling back into routines. Looking back on our trip I think overall the experience was amazing. Yes we had some rough times dealing with all that driving, but we can say it was worth the effort. We escaped some of the dreadful New England winter and ate some amazing tacos! Here is the second and last batch hope you like.

New Year

First of all happy New Years to everyone! This year I have decided I am gonna give this blogging thing another try. I have been producing so much photographic content in the last couple of years, and I am figuring out different ways to categorize it, share it, develop and hopefully make interesting connections in the process. I also spend countless hours researching all things related to home design, motherhood, cooking and this could be a good place for me share my ideas, experiences and versions of things I do. I leave you with some pictures I took from our last trip to Baja.
